A new Knowledge Transfer Network has been created for the UK Composites industry, funded by the DTI with additional support from regional development agencies and key composite organisations such as Airbus and GKN Aerospace.
Paul Hogg, in his capacity as Research Director of the Composites Processing Association, has been appointed as one of the six directors of the company that owns and is responsible for the Network, which is managed by TWI. The CPA, along with the British Marine Federation, Motor Industry Research Association and TWI make up the partners in the venture along with Airbus and GKN.
Paul is also to Chair the Foresight working group of the NCN Strategy Committee which will map out the activities of the NCN to support and develop of the industry's supply chain and seek to fill technology and service gaps in the longer term. The formal launch of the NCN will take place on November 30th.
