QMUL and China's Northwestern Polytechnical University launch Joint Educational Institute

Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and the Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU), one of China’s top universities, have launched a Joint Educational Institute (JEI) to create a broad partnership in providing transnational university education in the field of Engineering Materials.

Visit by NPU academics
As part of the preparation for the JEI, four members of NPU’s academic staff are visiting QMUL for two weeks from 11th July. During this time they will undergo training in Delivering UK Higher Education for overseas and international staff, using QM Plus and electronic Library resources, and visit the various laboratories and facilities within SEMS. In addition they will be meeting with colleagues in SEMS and SLLF to start developing modules for the new joint programmes to be delivered by the JEI from September 2017.

A lunch will take place in the SEMS Seminar Room from 1:00 on Wednesday 20th July, when colleagues will have the opportunity to meet Mr. Fan Huiqing, Ms Xiao Manyu, Ms Yan Na and Ms Shi Xue Tao.
