SEMS's Moin Ahmed wins Young Researcher award
Congratulations go to Moin Ahmed who has been awarded Young Researcher (New Scientist) Forum's award for the publication and presentation he delivered at the 3rd International Conference on Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, San Francisco, October 2015.

Moin was awarded the acknowledgement based on the novelty, quality and significance of his research. Competition was high with 31 strong young researchers, or new scientist contenders, from all over the world. All of the young researchers presented commendable works and were either PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, or junior academics.

Speaking of the award, Moin said "Initially I was short-listed from my Vehicle Systems and Technologies stream. And after that, my presentation was selected from a cross-disciplinary competition. I am very happy to receive such recognition for my work."

Moin's conference paper presentation is entitled "Dynamical performance analysis of hybrid vehicle based on turbocharger derivative micro gas turbine engine" and its proceedings will be published in the Journal of Aeronautics & Aerospace Engineering, Oct 2015 issue. Moin's project is supervised by Prof T Alexander, Dr E Avital, Prof C Lawn.
