SEMS PhD student wins Best Student Presentation

Congratulations go to Adam Marinovic, who is supervised by Dr Magda Titirici, for fighting off stiff competition and winning the Korean Carbon Society prize of Best Student Presentation, plus $500, at the World Conference on Carbon in Jeju, Korea.
The title of the talk was "Biomass-derived Fluorescent Carbon Quantum Dots as Solar Cells Sensitizers via Hydrothermal Carbonization" which featured contributions from Adam Marinovic, Joe Briscoe, Steve Dunn and Magdalena Titirici.
