Lifting Off-Implementing the Strategic Vision for UK Aerospace

Chancellor of Exchequer has announced the Government’s massive £2 billion investment in the UK aerospace sector. The new UK aerospace technology institute (ATI) will have four main fields: Aerodynamics, Propulsion, Aero-structures, Advanced Systems.

Chancellor of the Exchequer The Rt Hon George Osborne MP said he had seen firsthand the contribution that the aerospace sector makes in helping the UK realise its industrial ambition. Last year he opened the new GKN aerostructures factory outside Bristol and the state-of-the-art Rolls-Royce apprenticeship academy in Derby and visted the Airbus wing factor at Broughton in North Wales.
