Harry Hothi successfully defends PhD thesis
14 August 2012
Congratulations to Harry Hothi who successfully defended his PhD thesis “The Impact and Deformation of Press-Fit Metal Acetabular Components”. Harry's project was supported by DePuys, supervised by Julia Shelton and James Busfield and provided a possible explanation as to why some hip replacements are failing in patients. Harry's now working for the London Implant Retrieval Centre characterising retrieved metal on metal hip implants.
