Doris Wong successfully defends PhD thesis
18 May 2012

Doris Wong
Congratulations to Doris Wong who last week successfully defended her PhD thesis entitled “Toughening of Carbon Fibre Epoxy Composites using Dissolvable Fibres”. Doris has been with us for many years, first as a Teaching Assistant in the Department of Materials and later as a PhD student in the School. Doris was supervised by Prof Ton Peijs and has been working on a novel toughening method for aerospace composites manufactured by liquid moulding technologies. Her work formed the basis of a large EU grant entitled: IMS&CPS (Innovative Material Synergies & Composite Processing Strategies), which started in 2011.
