During the month of August, for which data has just been released, the School of Engineering and Materials Science has been awarded £980k in research grants.

The three largest individual grants go to Professor Asim Ray (£175k - DTI) Dr Donsheng Wen (~£210k - EPSRC) and Professor John Stark (£135k – European Space Agency).

The School also received ~£440k in EPSRC doctoral training accounts for the support of PhD research programmes and students.
