Abstract
This presentation will review the status of UK energy policy in light of the Climate Change Policy Review and the on-going Energy Review. It will address the role of RD&D in contributing to energy policy goals. It will review current and prospective arrangements (Research Councils Energy Programme, Energy Research Partnership, UKERC) and how priorities are set.
Speaker: Professor Jim Skea, OBE, is Research Director of the UK Energy Research Centre, an interdisciplinary initiative supported by three UK Research Councils. Until 2004, he was Director of the Policy Studies Institute, London. He is also a Visiting Professor at the Centre for Energy Policy and Technology, Imperial College.
