Join us for an enlightening panel discussion on on Tuesday, 4th March, from 15:00 to 16:30 in the Great Hall (Mile end campus). We are excited to host four distinguished panel members from diverse backgrounds and experiences. They will share their unique perspectives on the importance and value of diversity in the workplace and discuss how they have successfully navigated and overcome biases in their professional journeys. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable insights and learn practical strategies to foster an inclusive and equitable work environment.

- World leader in the design and manufacture of superconducting magnetic resonance imaging magnets for medical applications. Siemens Healthineers is a leading medtech company with over 125 years of experience. Situated a short drive from central Oxford, Siemens Healthineers Magnet Technology is the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of superconducting magnets for MRI. The visit will include a tour of the factory and you’ll hear from current year in industry placement students and recent graduates working on site. Current SEMS student Hossein Farahbakhsh, placement student at Siemens Healthineers 2023-2024 will be joining the visit - see his Year in Industry placement blog.

- In 1986, faced with the increasing scarcity and environmental problems of landfill, the London Boroughs of Lewisham, Southwark and Greenwich came together to search for a realistic alternative. In 1988, they formed a Consortium – South East London Combined Heat and Power – from which SELCHP now takes its name." Our facility. Students must arrive by 9.30 for a 10am start.
