Engineering Seminar Series is happy to host Frank Gupton. After advising presidents and starting companies with initial funding of hundreds of millions of $, Prof. Gupton will talk to us at Queen Mary about Flow Chemistry. The technology, widely used in commodity chemical production is now making waves in the pharmaceutical industry. Prof. Gupton will show us how the Medicines For All institute, with > $40M funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, has drastically reduces the already low cost of HIV drugs, thus enabling affordability and saving many lives in Africa.
