Examination Skills Workshops

Next week, Learning Development will be running a series of Examination Skills Workshops and Exam-related Drop-ins in the Blomeley Rooms of the Students’ Union!

The format for the session is a short discussion of questions from past papers, largely focusing on the need for students to address the question specifically. This is followed by a timed practice exam question of 50 minutes, after which students are encouraged to jot down what they were unsure about. This is then followed by working in pairs or small groups, in which students read each other’s work followed by a discussion of how they answered the questions.

Facilitators will be on hand all the time to facilitate and answer questions. As a follow-up, each session is followed by an hour’s Drop-In for student questions.
