Functional Principle of Explosive Autonomous Movable Nanorockets Controlled by focused Laser, with guest speaker Professor Johannes Frueh, Harbin institute of Technologies.
Authors: Johannes Frueh*, Zhiguang Wu, Wenping He, Qiang He
Polyelectrolyte multilayers are used since nearly 2 decades as novel drug delivery concepts, whereby current problems like improper sealing hinder their application until now. A possible solution for this effect is the utilization of these kinds of materials as intelligent photothermal and/ or explosive devices due to focussed continuous wave laser. The talk presents proof of cells being killed by thermal as well as shrapnel damage from micro-drug delivery devices. Diffusion based thermal measurements performed from particles being held in optical traps proof photothermal effects of the system.
