Research Activities on Thermoelectric Materials in HUST

Junyou Yang, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China

This talk will introduce the research work on thermoelectric materials in HUST to you. The talk includes five parts. The first part is about some basic principles of thermoelectric materials. In the second part, I will introduce our research work on bulk and low dimensional Bi2Te3-based TE materials. I will talk about our recent work on filled skutterudite-based materials and In4Se3 compounds in the third and fourth parts, respectively. In the final part, I will introduce our work on instrument developing for thermoelectric measurement.

Professor Junyou Yang, is from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China. He is the head of the department of Materials Science of HUST. He is the “Chutian Scholar” Honorary professor of Hubei province, he is also the “Huazhong Scholar” honorary Professor of HUST. Professor Yang’s research work is mainly about energy materials, especially thermoelectric materials, Quantum dots sensitized solar cells and related equipment and device developing.
