Nissan Technical Centre Europe (NTCE) is opening its doors for a behind the scenes look at its facilities.

Nissan is the biggest car manufacturer in the UK, with one in every 3 cars made in the UK being a Nissan. NTCE is Nissan's centre of Engineering excellence and the instrument in developing cars to meet the demands of the European Customer. From the environmental chamber which simulates Arctic or Sahara conditions to an Emissions test facility, you'll see how Nissan prepares its cars for European roads. You'll be able to see the daily challenges that Nissan engineers have to overcome and also hear about development of advanced vehicles for the future.

Nissan launched its 100% Electric LEAF in 2010 and is building a new battery plant in the North East, with production starting early 2012, followed by Leaf production in 2013. You will hear how NTCE is playing a role in Nissan's exciting new future, and have the opportunity to see the LEAF close up.
