Fifty Years of Research on Condensation Heat Transfer
Date: | Tuesday 16 October 2007 19:15 - 21:00 |
Location: | CB&I John Brown Limited, 20 Eastbourne Terrace, London W2 6LE Map |
During Professor John Rose's distinguished research career, he has made many contributions to our understanding or various forms of condensation. John will give a light-hearted talk covering the history of the diverse topics he has worked on during the past 50 years. Although he is famous for his elegant mathematical solutions to real industrial problems, he promises to keep equations to a minimum. Condensation topics to be covered will including dropwise, effects of non-condensing gas, temperature discontinuity at the vapour-liquid interface, liquid-metal condensates, low-finned tubes, small channels and Marangoni (pseudo-dropwise) condensation of mixtures.
