CH3NH3PbI3 perovskite crystal structure

Organo-lead halide perovskites have exploded in the last few years in terms of both research interest and efficiency, and is now well established as a leading solution-processed PV technology. We are interested in developing both novel materials processing techniques and device design for use in perovskite solar cells (PSCs). This includes developing the processing/synthesis and device structures with less common material systems such as ZnO nanorods and CuSCN on both rigid and flexible substrates. In addition, we are investigating the use of aerosol-assisted chemical vapour deposition (AACVD) - a highly scalable and industrially-relavent technique - to produce perovskite thin films that are suitable for use in photovoltaic devices.
