Supervisor:
Apply by:7 June 2018

Description

A fully-funded 3.5 years PhD position is currently available at the School of Engineering and Materials Science at the Queen Mary University of London. The purpose of the PhD position is to develop new composite materials based on metal-organic frameworks with controlled properties. The project particularly aims at potential renewable energy and environmental applications, with a focus on heterogeneous catalysis for fuel synthesis.

The successful candidate will have experience in working in a chemistry laboratory, carrying out chemical analyses and use different spectroscopic methods. They will also have an understanding of (and ideally experience in) heterogeneous catalysis and an appreciation for the complexity of environmental and energy challenges.
