Typical suspension system - highlighting some of the rubber components.

The state of the art for the modelling of the visco-elastic behaviour of elastomer suspension components typically refer to both modest engineering strains and modest loading rates. The project derived constitutive models that were valid over the entire service load and rate range for elastomer materials commonly used in vehicle suspensions.
