Many congratulations to our colleagues Drs Maria Romero-Gonzalez, Gabriel Cavalli, Andrew Spowage and Folashade Akinmolayan Taiwo for receiving a prestigious President and Principal's Prize at the Queen Mary Education Excellence Award.

This award recognizes the hard work and crucial leadership the team offered towards developing and delivering the SEMS Teaching and Learning summer activities - which were instrumental in moving our teaching activities online in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Principal also highlighted how the impact of their work has transcended the school and even the university, with the team invited to present at key events such as the 2020 AdvanceHE Online Curriculum symposium.

Thank you to the team for your hard work and for continuing to support excellence in teaching at Queen Mary and nationally.

Additional congratulations also go to Maria who also received an education excellence award for her contribution to the development of a cross-TNE programmes networking project 'Common Ground', which was a collaboration with the School of Languages, Linguistics and Film and the School of Biological and Chemical Sciences.

Well done to the team!
