The Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization session addresses a diverse array of engineering problems. These include design of the microstructure of materials with required properties unachievable in conventional materials which allows to control shape of morphable composite structures and improve the fatigue limit of 3-D printed structures. Other topics offer new perspective on multidisciplinary topology optimization, optimization of jet engine components under conflicting multdisciplinary requirements as well as new formulations and techniques for operational research problems.
