Overview

The projected increases in global energy demand, led by developing and emerging economies, underscores the need for new supplies of affordable sustainable energy. This future energy need is perhaps the greatest single challenge facing the world in the twenty-first century. The programme will concentrate on training students for employment in the energy sector. Examples of recent projects include an assessment of bio-diesel as a road vehicle fuel and the development of roof top wind turbines.
