Open Days

Queen Mary holds two university-wide Open Days throughout the year. The next days are Friday 24 June 2016 and Saturday 25 June 2016. To book a place, please visit the Open Day website.

The School of Engineering and Materials Science will have staff and students on hand to answer your questions. You will have the chance to see the facilities available to SEMS students.

If you are unable to travel to campus you may prefer to attend on of our Virtual Open days.  The next Virtual Open day is on Thursday the 15th of July, if you would like to attend please book a place.

Campus Tours

If you are unable to attend the next Open Day, then you may like to come on a campus tour. The UK Student Recruitment Office organises campus visits throughout the year. Normally lasting about one hour, these are intentionally informal and restricted to small groups so everyone has the chance to ask questions. They are a great way of finding out about living and studying here. You will be shown around by a current student. If you want to see a particular department, this can sometimes be arranged when you book your visit, but must be requested on booking.

Please visit the UK Student Recruitment campus tour website where you can view the dates availabile and book your place.

Alternatively, speak to a member of the team:

Post-Application Open Days

Once students apply to a programme in the School of Engineering and Materials Science, they will normally be invited to a post-application information session. During this session, students will have a chance to see the campus, meet current students, talk to academics and ask any questions that they may have about their application. You will be contacted via e-mail with the date of the Open Day.

Please note that there is no parking at the Mile End Campus and that the surrounding area is a Controlled Parking Zone. Therefore, you are strongly recommended to use public transport.
