"Modelling Blade Abrasion in Elastomers"

A technique is described here for the first time that can accurately model the stored energy release rate during blade abrasion process using an explicit dynamics finite element package. This allows an accurate prediction of the abrasion rate to be made using cyclic crack growth rate measurements on two different SBR compounds.
