Reinforcement of elastomers by fine particulate fillers has long been a subject of interest. The filler type investigated in this article is a Medium Thermal (MT) type of carbon black and the approach adopted consists of modeling rigid spherical unit cells using appropriate strain energy functions at a number of filler volume fractions.
