Harish Patel successfully defends PhD thesis

Congratulations to Harish Patel who this week successfully defended his PhD thesis “Hemp Fibre Reinforced Sheet Moulding Compounds”. Harish was supervised by Prof Ton Peijs and has been working on the development and characterization of a novel natural fibre based composite material for the building industry. The project ran in close collaboration with the Building Research Establishment, Menzolite Ltd and Hemp Technology Ltd. and was supported by EPSRC.
